Marlow & Finch

2025

A 40-attorney regional law firm needed a digital presence that matched the seniority of its partners — not another template built for a solo practice.

Marlow & Finch website design — full page preview

Marlow & Finch is a 40-attorney regional law firm across three offices. This law firm website design and brand identity project rebuilt their digital presence from the ground up — the kind of website design work mid-size professional services firms need once word-of-mouth alone stops scaling their pipeline of new clients.

The challenge

Marlow & Finch had grown from a five-person practice to forty attorneys across three offices, but their website still looked like a solo-practitioner brochure site — stock photography, dated typography, no clear path for a prospective client to find the right practice group.

Our approach

We rebuilt the information architecture around how clients actually search for legal help — by practice area and by outcome — and paired it with a restrained, editorial visual identity that felt closer to a private bank than a typical law firm website.

The results

  • Redesigned site launched across all three regional offices within a single unified brand system.
  • Consultation request form submissions increased 128% in the first full quarter post-launch.
  • Attorney bio pages became the second most-visited page type, up from rarely-viewed.
The solution in detail

How we solved it, decision by decision.

01

Practice-area-first information architecture

We scrapped the old alphabetical attorney directory and rebuilt navigation around how prospective clients actually search — by practice area first, then by outcome, then by attorney — so a visitor with a specific legal problem is never more than two clicks from the right practice group.

02

An editorial visual identity, not a law firm template

Restrained typography, generous whitespace, and a muted palette replaced the stock-photo-and-navy-blue look that dominates law firm website design. The goal was a site that reads closer to a private bank or an architecture monograph than a legal directory listing.

03

Multi-office location routing built into the CMS

Each of the three regional offices gets its own location page, staff roster, and locally-relevant practice-area content, all generated from a single content model — so opening a fourth office is a content task, not an engineering one.

04

Attorney bio pages designed as a conversion surface

Bios were rebuilt around credentials, notable matters, and a direct scheduling path instead of a static headshot-and-paragraph format — turning what had been the site's least-visited page type into its second-most-visited.

Questions about this project

What people ask about the Marlow & Finch website.

How long did the Marlow & Finch website redesign take?

The full brand identity and website redesign launched in nine weeks from kickoff, following Cyberdude's Discover, Define, Design, Build, and Launch process — on the faster end for a project spanning three regional offices and a full attorney directory rebuild.

What platform does the Marlow & Finch law firm website run on?

The site is hand-built on Next.js with a headless CMS, using custom multi-office location routing so each regional office can be managed independently without duplicating the underlying codebase.

Why did consultation requests increase after the law firm website redesign?

Consultation form submissions rose 128% largely because the new information architecture routes visitors by practice area and outcome instead of an alphabetical attorney list — matching how people actually search for legal help — paired with a clearer, single scheduling path on every attorney bio.

“Cyberdude was the first agency we worked with that asked about our sales process before asking about colors. The site they built has become our best-performing salesperson.”
